Firstly let’s know about the history of valentine’s day : It was the story of Saint valentine St Valentine who fight against the Emperor Claudius II’sclaudius bust6603326185583510674 decree banning marriages for young men, as the emperor believed that unmarried soldiers were more effective. Saint Valentine continued to perform marriages for young couples in secret. When his actions were discovered, he was imprisoned and later executed on February 14th. Before his death, Saint Valentine reportedly wrote a letter to the daughter of his jailer, signing it “From your Valentine,” which is believed to be the origin of the Valentine’s Day card tradition.

We all are celebrating it in the memory of saint valentine but today here is the dark reality of Valentine’s day:

  • In Recent times The Supreme Court of India has asserted that love marriages were the leading cause of most divorces in the country. according to bar and bench Most divorces are arising from love marriages only,
  • Surveys reveal that more than 50% of such marriages fail, with most of them ending in divorces. but here is a gap we have 50% success rate also but at the other side in arrange marriage the success rate is above the 80%.

It means that cultural marriages or arrange marriages have better stability or better endings but love marriages have not.

Now A question comes to the mind that what could be the cause of so much divorce in love marriage.

The answer is here :    ‘love marriage’ is a beautiful name for a union which is not natural . A union that arises out of initial physical attraction. But all that glitters is not gold, as is revealed to such people after marriage, where one has to face reality. and some time the reality is harsh .you didn’t get what you have been  fascinated before the marriage . but every time the cause is not same . sometimes you were manipulated by the society or family so before reaching on some conclusion always talk to your partner , there would be a different perception or situation .
